Project Overview

Location: Tamatave, Madagascar

FACILITY:

Ambatovy is a refinery facility and the SX Plant is a solvent extraction process involving tanks filled with highly flammable chemicals.

TASK:

Design, supply supervision, test and commission foam/water fire protection systems.

CHALLENGES:

• Coordinating an aggressive project schedule against significant lead time required to procure special stainless steel materials and explosion-proof devices.
• Project location was a challenge being two time zones away.

SOLUTION:

Vipond met and exceeded the clients requirements for delivery, completion and start-up. Client was very satisfied with the design, performance and overall final product.
